    Notes on presence status De Jong & Coomans (1988) mention this species on page 117 under number 624. The Miocene species Glyphostoma Johnsoni [sic] was described by Dall in 1892 on page 223 (see https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/31456875#page/613/mode/1up plate 14 figure 6). The shell depicted by De Jong & Coomans (1988) does not look fossil. It is presently unclear which species they have found.
